The marketplace
Install themes, sections, site templates, ranks, forums, event packs, Discord styles, add-ons and starter kits made by Spawnix.
The marketplace is where you pick up ready-made pieces for your guild: website looks and pages, rank ladders, forum categories, event templates, Discord post styles, dashboard add-ons and game data. Everything in it is made by Spawnix for your game, and free items work on every plan.
Open it from Marketplace in the sidebar (under Forge), or press G then K.
How it works
Installing an item copies it into your guild. From then on it's yours to edit, and nothing you change affects anyone else. When Spawnix releases a newer version, the card shows Update available and you choose whether to take it.
Each tab covers one kind of item, with a count of what's in it. Tabs with nothing for your game yet are hidden. Click any card's preview to see it larger, shown in your site's current theme.
Who can install what
| Members | Admins | Owner | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Browse and preview | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Install, update and remove most items | No | Yes | Yes |
| Install a starter kit | No | No | Yes |
| Use a rank ladder (change the guild's ranks) | No | No | Yes |
Starter kits and rank ladders are owner only because they change everyone's ranks. Admins can install a rank ladder, but only the owner can put it to use. See roles and ranks.
Item kinds and what installing does

| Add-ons | Extra dashboard tools | The tool appears in your sidebar menu right away. Use Open it |
| Game packs | Items for your item database: names, categories and facts | The items are added to your item database |
A few details worth knowing:
- Site templates never overwrite your pages. If you already have a page with the same address (say,
home), the new one gets a number on the end (home-2). Use Add the pages again for a fresh copy. - Forum sets skip categories you already have, and they respect your plan's limit on forum categories. The message after installing tells you if any didn't fit.
- Game packs skip items already in your item database, so installing one twice never makes duplicates. See item database.
- Add-ons and Game packs only show for games with loot, and add-ons made for other games aren't listed. See add-ons.
Rank ladders
- Install the ladder from Rank ladders.
- As the owner, click Use these ranks.
- Read the preview: New ranks, and Members who change rank.
- Confirm. Your ranks are replaced by the ladder's.
Members on a rank level the new ladder also has keep their level, under its new name. Members on a level it doesn't have move to another rank, and the preview shows exactly who. The owner always gets the top rank. See roles and ranks.
Starter kits
A starter kit sets a guild up in one go. Click Install kit to see what it brings ("This sets your guild up with:"), plus how your ranks will change, before you confirm.
- Pages arrive unpublished, so your live site doesn't change until you publish them.
- Its theme, ranks and Discord style go live straight away.
- Parts you already have are skipped, and you can Install again later.
Many starter kits come from theme collections: complete looks for your game, some of them free to try. See site themes.
Updates
When a card shows Update available, click Update to take the new version. What changes depends on the kind:
- a theme you're using is updated on your site;
- sections already on your pages keep the old version; new copies use the new one;
- a site template's update doesn't touch your pages; add the new pages from the marketplace if you want them;
- a rank ladder updates in your list; use it again to change your ranks to the new version.
Removing items
Click the bin icon on an installed item's card, then Remove. Anything the item already added stays: pages, items and forum categories. Removing the theme your site uses stops its updates; on Recruit it also puts your site back on your game's look (see site themes). Removing an add-on hides the tool from your menu and website, but keeps what members entered, in case you add it again.
Premium items
Cards are marked Free or Premium. Premium items are included with Commander and Admiral; on Recruit, their button reads Upgrade to install and links to Billing. A starter kit counts as premium if anything in it is premium. See plans and billing.
If your guild moves down to Recruit:
- you keep what you already use: pages, sections already on pages, and the marketplace theme on your site;
- you can't install new premium items, take their updates, or use them again (adding a premium section to a page, adding a template's pages again, switching to a premium theme).
Renown items
Some items carry a Renown badge with a level. They unlock when your guild reaches that renown level; until then the button reads Unlocks at renown and the level. Once installed, an item stays yours. See renown and seasons.
Tips and tricks
- Install freely. Installing a theme, section or template never changes your live site on its own; you choose when to use or publish it.
- Preview before you install. The preview uses your site's current theme, so you see how it fits your site, not just the screenshot.
- Got a template's
home-2? To make it your home page, first rename your old home page in the editor (say, "Old home"), then rename the new page to "Home" so it takes thehomeaddress. - Pair an event pack with Discord: its templates show up in
/events create, so officers can post a raid from their phone in seconds. - Before an owner uses a rank ladder, check Members who change rank. It's the moment to spot anyone who'd end up in the wrong place.
- Removing a forum set doesn't delete its categories. Tidy them up on the forums page if you no longer want them.
