SPAWNIX

Media library

Upload pictures, videos and documents, sort them into folders, and use them on your website pages.

The media library is your guild's shared storage for pictures, videos and documents. Upload a banner once and use it on any page, keep raid guides and spreadsheets in one place, and see how much of your plan's storage you've used.

Open it from Media in the sidebar (under Forge), or press G then M.

What you can upload

Kind File types
Pictures JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
Video MP4, WebM
Documents PDF, TXT, CSV, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX

Each file can be up to 50 MB. Spawnix checks what a file really is, not just its name, and refuses anything else with a message listing the allowed types.

Pictures and videos display right in the browser. Other files download when someone opens them.

Upload files

  1. Go to Media.
  2. Open the folder you want, or stay in All Files.
  3. Drag files onto the upload area, or click browse and pick them. You can upload several at once.

Folders

Owners and admins can organize files into folders:

  • New Folder creates a folder inside the one you're in, so folders can hold folders.
  • The pencil icon on a folder (Rename) renames it.
  • The bin icon next to a folder deletes it.

All Files always shows every file in the library, whatever folder it's in. The path along the top (Media › folder › folder) takes you back up.

Storage and your plan

Everything in the library counts toward your plan's media storage, including videos you upload for video blocks.

Plan Media storage
Recruit (free) 500 MB
Commander 5 GB
Admiral 10 GB

Owners and admins can see how much you've used on Billing, under Media storage. When an upload would go over the limit, it's refused with a message showing how much you've used. Delete some files, or upgrade for more room. Files you already have are never removed because of a limit. See plans and billing.

Use media on your pages

Any block or section with a picture setting (Image, notice card, section backgrounds, logos and more) has a picker with three tabs:

  • URL: paste a link to a picture hosted somewhere else.
  • Media Library: click to pick from your library. The picker shows your pictures (or, for a video block, your videos) from every folder. It also has its own Upload button, so you can add a new file without leaving the editor.
  • Game Assets: artwork made for your game, free to use and not counted toward your storage.

For uploaded videos, add a Video block, choose Uploaded video file and pick an MP4 or WebM. See page blocks.

Tips and tricks

  • Shrink pictures before uploading. A 1920-pixel-wide WebP banner usually looks just as good as a 10 MB screenshot and loads far faster, especially on phones.
  • Make a folder per purpose ("Website", "Raid guides", "Recruiting") so admins can tell at a glance what's safe to delete.
  • Before deleting a file, check it isn't on a published page. The page won't break, but that picture will be missing.
  • Reach for Game Assets first when building pages. It's free artwork that matches your game and costs no storage.
  • Keep background videos short, a few seconds on a loop. They count toward storage, and smaller files start playing sooner.
