Renown and seasons

How your guild and members earn renown, what each level unlocks, achievements, seasons, the season recap and Promotion Watch.

Renown is Spawnix's way of celebrating an active guild. Everything your members do, from forum posts to ops, earns renown for the guild and for the members themselves. Levels unlock cosmetics for your banner and website, flair titles for members, and some marketplace items.

Renown is never sold, and it never unlocks features a plan pays for. It's purely a reward for being active.

How renown is earned

There are two kinds: guild renown (shown on the Renown page) and member renown (shown on each member's profile).

Activity Guild renown Member renown
A member joins 25
A forum thread 10 10 to the author
A forum post 2 2 to the author
An event that takes place 30
Saying Going to an event that takes place 15
A poll 10 10 to the creator
A published website page 20
A loot haul 15 15 to the member who logged it
An achievement reached 100

Renown is worked out from what's in your guild right now. A removed post, a deleted poll or a page you unpublish stops counting. That keeps renown honest: spam that moderators clean up earns nothing.

Levels

Level 2 takes 250 renown. Each level after that needs 150 more than the one before.

Level Total renown
2 250
3 650
4 1,200
5 1,900
6 2,750
8 4,900
10 7,650
12 11,000
16 19,500

The same scale is used for guilds and for members.

Member flair

Members earn flair titles with their own renown. They show next to the member's name, and each member picks which unlocked title to show in Edit profile (see profiles and characters).

Flair Member level
Initiate 1
Sentinel 3
Vanguard 5
Ascendant (premium) 6
Champion 8
Phoenix (premium) 10
Legend 12
Mythic 16

Premium flair is for members of guilds on Commander or Admiral.

Reward tracks

The Reward tracks on the Renown page show what your guild unlocks at each level, in two lanes:

  • Free, for every guild.
  • Premium, for guilds on Commander or Admiral (see plans and billing).

Rewards come in a few kinds:

Kind Where it shows
Banner frame Around your guild banner and your website header
Crest Around your guild's emblem
Title A line under your guild's name
Effect A moving effect, like embers or snow, on your banner and website header
Marketplace item An item that becomes available to install from the marketplace

Some rewards are themed for your game or its genre (space, fantasy or survival), so a Rust clan and a WoW guild see different rewards on their tracks.

Try on and equip

Click any reward to preview it on your banner, even one you haven't unlocked yet, and compare it with your current look. Once a reward is unlocked, the owner or an admin can click Equip to wear it, or Remove to take it off. For a marketplace reward, click Get it in the Marketplace.

Achievements

Achievements are guild milestones. Each one adds 100 guild renown.

Achievement Goal
Full Squad 10 members
Wing Strength 25 members
Battle Group 50 members
Legion 100 members
Talk of the Hangar 100 forum posts
Loud Comms 500 forum posts
Living Archive 2,000 forum posts
First Sortie 1 op held
Veteran Crew 10 ops held
Campaign 50 ops held
Council Voice 10 polls
Treasure Hunters 10 loot hauls
Banner Raised 1 published page
Signal Linked Connect a Discord server

An op counts as held once its start time has passed.

Seasons

Seasons follow the calendar quarters (in UTC):

Season Months
Starfall January to March
Sunrise April to June
Wildfire July to September
Frostfall October to December

Some premium rewards are seasonal: they can only be earned during their own season. If your guild reaches the level while the season is on, the reward is yours to keep. Once the season ends, a seasonal reward you didn't earn is gone.

The season recap

Season recap shows your guild's season in numbers: renown earned, ops held, forum posts, threads, new members, polls and loot hauls. It also lists the most active members and everything the guild earned that season. Use the menu at the top to look back at past seasons.

Show it on your website

On the Renown page, owners and admins can turn on Show our level, title, badges and season recap on the guild website. Your site then shows your guild's standing, and the recap gets its own page at /season.

Promotion Watch

Owners and admins see Promotion Watch on the Command Deck when members' renown has outgrown their rank. Each suggestion shows the member's renown level, their current rank and the next one up.

  • Promote to (the next rank) promotes them right away.
  • Not now hides the suggestion. It comes back once the member gains two more levels.

A member in your lowest rank is suggested at level 3, the next rank at level 5, and so on. Promotion Watch never suggests anyone for your top rank. It's a nudge, not a rule: you decide who gets promoted. See roles and ranks.

Tips and tricks

  • Publish your website's home page early. Banner Raised is an easy 100 renown, plus 20 for the page.
  • Connect Discord for Signal Linked, another quick 100 (see Discord setup).
  • Encourage members to RSVP Going before an op. They earn 15 renown each when it takes place, and their flair levels up faster.
  • Turn on the website display once you've equipped a frame or effect. Visitors see an active, established guild.
  • Check the season recap at the end of each quarter and shout out the most active members in a forum post.
  • Use Promotion Watch as your monthly review list, then press Not now for anyone who isn't ready yet.
