Profiles and characters

Fill in your member profile, pick an avatar and flair, share your profile on the website, and list your WoW characters.

Every member has a profile in your guild: who they are, how they play, when they're online and what they've done for the guild. In World of Warcraft and WoW Forever guilds, profiles also list each member's characters. Profiles are per guild, so if you're in two guilds you have a separate profile in each.

Open and edit your profile

Click your name in the top bar and choose My profile, or go straight to your profile. Click Edit profile to change it, then Save profile.

To see someone else's profile, click their name, for example on a forum post or in the Promotion Watch list.

Tags can be up to 30 characters each. Type one and press Enter or a comma to add it.

Your public profile

Turn on Show my profile on the guild website to give your profile its own page on your guild's website, at /members/ followed by your username. Anyone can see it there, account or not. It shows your about text, tags, details, links and service record.

Your guild can always see your profile in the dashboard, whether or not it's public.

Avatars

Your avatar shows next to your name across the dashboard, such as on forum posts. Next to your avatar on your profile there are three buttons:

  • Upload a new avatar: a PNG, JPEG or GIF under 5 MB. It's cropped to a centered square and resized to 256 by 256 pixels.
  • Choose a picture: pick from the built-in gallery instead of uploading your own. It's grouped into People, Fantasy races, Creatures, Animals and Helmets.
  • Remove avatar: go back to no picture.

Flair

Flair is a title earned with your own renown, shown next to your name. New members start as Initiate, and more titles unlock as you level up. In Edit profile, the Flair title menu lists every title you've unlocked. Leave it on Highest unlocked to always show your best one, or pick an older favorite. Premium titles are marked "(premium)". See renown and seasons for the full list.

Service record

The Service record on each profile counts what the member has done in the guild:

  • Posts and Threads in the forum.
  • Ops attended: events they said Going to that have taken place.
  • Polls run: polls they created.
  • Loot hauls: hauls they logged (in games with loot).

The same activity earns member renown, so the service record and the renown bar at the top of the profile grow together.

Characters (World of Warcraft and WoW Forever)

In World of Warcraft and WoW Forever guilds, the Characters panel on each profile lists a member's main and alts, so the guild knows who can tank, heal and bring what.

  1. On your profile, click Add a character.
  2. Enter the Name and, optionally, the Realm (each up to 40 characters).
  3. Pick a Class, then a Spec. The spec sets the role for you. You can also pick a Role directly: Tank, Healer or Damage.
  4. Set the Level: up to 90 in World of Warcraft, up to 60 in WoW Forever.
  5. Tick Main if this is your main.
  6. Click Save.

Each member can list up to 12 characters, and you can't list two with the same name on the same realm. Your first character becomes your main. To switch, click the star next to another character to make it your main. Use the pencil to edit a character and the remove button to delete one.

Characters feed other parts of Spawnix:

  • Rosters show a Team make-up, counting tanks, healers and damage by each member's main (see events and rosters).
  • In Discord, /characters shows who plays what, by class, role or member (see Discord commands).

Tips and tricks

  • Fill in Usually on and Time zone. Officers use them to pick raid nights that suit everyone.
  • The profile's Time zone is just text for others to read. To see event times in your own zone, choose Your time zone on the Account & password page.
  • Add your alts too, not just your main. When the raid is short a healer, officers can find your healer alt with /characters role:Healer.
  • Keep the Headline short and specific. It's the first thing people read on your profile.
  • Use Links for your stream or YouTube channel. Guildmates love to cheer each other on.
  • If someone asks "who is that?", their profile is one click away from any forum post: click their name.
