Loot hauls
Log what a raid or op brought home, let members claim items as Need or Want, then decide the split and publish it.
A loot haul is a list of everything one raid or op brought home. Members claim what they'd use, officers decide who gets what, and when you finalize, everyone sees the split. It works the same in the dashboard and in Discord, so nobody has to scroll back through chat to find out who called dibs.
Open it from Loot & items in the sidebar (or press G then L).
Which games have loot
Every game except Foundation: Galactic Frontier has loot hauls and an item database. Each game brings its own item categories (World of Warcraft has Tier tokens and Mounts & pets, EVE Online has Ships and Ore & minerals, and so on), and many show values in the game's currency: gold, ISK, CR, silver, gp or scrap.
Who can do what
| Members | Moderators, admins and owner | |
|---|---|---|
| See hauls | Yes | Yes |
| Claim items as Need or Want | Yes, if eligible | Yes |
| Create, edit and delete hauls | No | Yes |
| Assign items and finalize | No | Yes |
| Show a haul on the website | No | Yes |
Guests can't claim loot. See roles and ranks for how dashboard roles work.
Create a haul
- Go to Loot and click New haul.
- Give it a Title, like "Saturday cargo raid".
- Optionally pick the event it came From op. The list shows events from the last two weeks and the coming week.
- Optionally set Claims close to a date and time. After that, nobody can claim.
- Choose Who can claim: Whole guild, or Only members who RSVP'd "going" to the op. The second option needs a linked op.
- Add the items. Start typing a name and pick it from your item database to fill in the category, rarity and value. Set the quantity and an optional note (size, grade, and so on).
- Add Notes for members if there are house rules, like where to pick things up.
- Leave Post to Discord so members can claim there ticked if your server is connected.
- Click Create haul.
A haul holds 1 to 200 items. Titles are up to 120 characters and notes up to 1,000.
Change a haul's op
Forgot to link the event, or picked the wrong one? Owners, admins and moderators can fix it until the haul is finalized:
- Open the haul and click Edit.
- Pick a different event under From op, or No linked op to unlink it. The haul's current op stays in the list even if it's older than two weeks.
- Set Who can claim. Only members who RSVP'd "going" to the op needs a linked op, so choosing No linked op switches the haul to Whole guild.
- Click Save.
The Discord post and any Soft Reserves shown on the haul update to the new op.
Changing the op never deletes anyone's claims. On an attendees-only haul, claims from members who aren't going to the new op stay in place and are marked not going in the split, so you can decide what to do with them. Those members can't make new claims, but they can still Withdraw theirs while claims are open.
How members claim
Members open the haul and press Need (something they'll use) or Want (nice to have) on each item. Pressing the same button again takes the claim back. They can change their mind until claims close.
If a member can't claim an item, they'll see why: claims are closed, the haul is for op attendees only, or the item's rarity needs a higher rank, for example "Epic items: Raider rank and above". You set those rules in the item database's Claim rules. Owners, admins and moderators can always claim.
Split the loot
While claims are open, officers see each item's Need and Want claims, Need first. For each item:
- With one of something, choose Give it next to the person who should get it.
- With several, type how many each person gets.
- Use + Give to another member… to hand it to someone who didn't claim.
- Click Save assignment.
Next to each name you'll see what they got from other hauls in the last 30 days, which helps keep things fair. When items have values, a Split by value summary shows what each person has been given against an even share.
When you're ready:
- Click Close claims (you can Reopen claims if you need to).
- Finish assigning.
- Click Finalize split.
After finalizing, tick Handed out as you deliver each item in game, so everyone knows what's still owed.
Show it on your website
Click Show on website on a haul to list it in the Loot block on your public site. Visitors see the items and how many members need or want each, never who. It works on finalized hauls too, which are the ones worth showing off. See page blocks.
Loot in Discord
With Discord connected, a haul you post from the dashboard appears in your announcements channel (one logged with /loot create appears in the channel you used it in) with two menus: Need: items you'll use and Want: nice to have. Members pick items right there, and the post updates as claims come in and shows the final split once you finalize. Discord menus cover the first 50 items; members claim the rest in Spawnix.
Slash commands:
/loot claimlists open hauls to claim from./loot createlogs a haul from Discord: one item per line, like2x Elixir of the Mongoose | Consumables. The quantity and category are optional. Names that match your item database pick up its rarity and value./loot closecloses claims on a haul you logged.
Moderators and up can create hauls from Discord, and you can give Discord roles the Loot right on the Discord card in Settings. See Discord commands.
Example: a raid night
Your WoW guild clears a raid on Friday.
- Before the raid, you create the "Molten Core, Friday" event and raiders RSVP going.
- After the last boss, you click New haul, title it "Molten Core, Friday", pick the event From op, and choose Only members who RSVP'd "going" to the op.
- You type each drop's name and pick it from the item database, so the epics come in as Epic. You set Claims close to Saturday noon.
- The haul posts to Discord. Raiders pick Need on upgrades and Want on the rest from their phones.
- Saturday afternoon, you assign each item, checking who already got loot this month, then click Finalize split.
- As you mail items in game, you tick Handed out.
Tips and tricks
- Link every haul to its event. It lets you limit claims to people who showed up, and it's what Soft Reserves and attendance tools key off.
- Set Claims close when you create the haul so you're not chasing late claims. You can still reopen if someone had a good reason.
- Ask members to save Want for real nice-to-haves. When Need means need, splits go faster.
- Use the "got in last 30 days" note on each name as a quick fairness check before you give out the big items.
- Add values to your items in the item database. Then every haul shows what it's worth, and Split by value does the math for you.
