Guild directory

List your guild in the public directory at spawnix.gg/guilds so players can find you, filter by what they want and apply.

The guild directory at spawnix.gg/guilds is where players go to find a guild to join. They can filter by game, region and play style, search by name or keyword, and show only guilds that are recruiting now. Each listed guild gets a card and a page of its own that search engines can find, with links to your website and, if you want, straight to your application form.

Listing is free on every plan and off until you turn it on. Nothing about your guild is in the directory before that.

You'll find it at Directory listing, in the sidebar under Admin. The owner and admins can edit it.

List your guild

  1. Open Directory listing.
  2. Fill in your listing (see below). The Preview on the right shows your card as players will see it.
  3. Tick List your guild in the directory.
  4. Click Save.

You need a Tagline before you can list. Your guild also has to have at least one published page on its website, because every card links there. If it doesn't yet, the page tells you; see Website builder.

Once you're listed, View in the directory opens your guild's page in the directory. To leave the directory, untick List your guild in the directory and click Save. Your guild disappears straight away (pages can take up to five minutes to update everywhere because they're cached).

What you can fill in

Field What it's for
Tagline One line under your name on the card, up to 140 characters. Also used as the description search engines show.
About your guild A longer description for your guild's directory page, up to 2,000 characters. Plain text; a blank line starts a new paragraph.
Region Where most of you play: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, Middle East, Africa or Global.
Play times When you usually play, in your own words, up to 120 characters. Include a time zone, for example "Weeknights 19:00–23:00 CET".
Play style Up to 6 of: Casual, Hardcore, PvE, PvP, RP, Raiding, Crafting, Trading, Exploration, Social, Competitive, New-player friendly, Mature (18+). Players filter by these.
Languages Up to 5 languages your guild speaks.
Recruiting now Recruiting guilds are listed first and show under the Recruiting now filter.
Open roles Up to 12 roles or classes, each marked Open, Limited or Closed, like the muster board block on your website. They show on your guild's directory page.
Banner picture A wide picture for the top of your card. Pick one from your theme, your media library, or paste a link to an image.

The Apply button

The directory can send players straight to the application form on your website. To turn it on:

  1. In Recruitment, turn on Taking applications. See Recruitment.
  2. Put the Application form block on a page of your website and publish it.
  3. Back in Directory listing, tick Link "Apply" to your website's application form and click Save.

The Apply button shows while Recruiting now is on and applications are open. If you close applications or unpublish the page, the button goes away by itself.

What's public

Only what you enter on the Directory listing page is shown, plus:

  • your guild's name, game and website address (your custom domain once it's active);
  • a rough member count, such as "10–25", never the exact number;
  • your renown level, but only if your website already shows it in a Guild standing block with the level turned on.

Member names, profiles, rosters and anything else from your dashboard are never part of the directory.

Search engines

Your guild's directory page has its own address, spawnix.gg/guilds/g/your-guild, and is listed in the directory's sitemap so search engines can find it. Each game also has its own page, such as spawnix.gg/guilds/eve-online. Search engines usually pick up changes within a few days.
